no title?

im telling you for your own protection, run from this car asap unless the seller can produce a title. no title,. no sale. dont put the title on yourself, what if you cant get it? make the seller get it, its his car, not yours yet. and by law, he needs a title to sell it really.

once you pay him, your screwed if it you cant get a title. aka paper weight. or lawn art.

So this whole thing doesn't sound fishy to you? There's probably 3 million cars for sale locally to you where the buyer has the title yet you choose to buy this sketchy car? Once the seller has the money if your not able to get the title guess what your screwed and now you own (well technically not own unless you have that magic piece of paper) a car that you'll have a hell of a lot of trouble selling without one.

If there was ever a bad idea this would be one.

I understand, I was just getting opinions to see if anybody else has dealt with it

most 98's are gonna be rough. but every now and then you find one thats nice for under 2 grand and dont need a ton of work.

you should be able to find some thing in the 97-03 range for under 3 grand easy. in much better shape then that ad, like leather, lower miles, not leaking sunroof and no large dents.

I'd like to have another grand prix and with a sunroof 2 or 4 door but sunroof isn't a deal breaker

in that case shop smart, cause my 800 dollar car needed 2 grand and more in repairs so far, no mods, repairs lol

my car was listed for 1600, i took it to a shop and got it inspected, it needed over 2 grand in shop cost repairs, my first offer was 500. we settled at 800. but i knew what i was getting into.

what im saying is dont burn yourself on a car that needs more work then its book value. most shops will charge like 50 bucks or less to look over a car your looking to buy. at least you got a pros opinions on its over all mechanical shape. and you can use this list of repairs it needs to haggle the price down.

I don't think I could get it home,I'd have to rent a dolly and tow it probably
