No Start-Fuel pump?



if your gas gauge works theres no reason to spend all that money, search you tube on how to change it, its super easy.
 


there's a little float on a resistor hanging off the pump assembly. you can take that off and put it on the new pump to save moniez.
 
I have a 99GTP that won't start. I turn the key on and don't hear the fuel pump prime and the gas gauge reads full, doesn't move. The car had 1/4 tank the last time it ran. That's why i was asking...

in your case i would get the whole sha bang, new replacement pump.

but i would do some checking around before i just went and spent 200 on a pump.

check fuses, resistor, check for power at the pump, with the key turned to run.

if all that checks out then get a new pump.
 


In my case I'm 98 percent It's the pump but I spent $110 on the whole assembly cuz i checked everything else and since It's my dd and cheaper to get parts off the internet for the most part It's just worth the money to not buy a whole bunch of little parts when your not sure if it will do the job and this way It's done and over with. Plus then you ain't gotta worry bout other parts of it goin to $hit on you in the middle of no where
 
I got my fuel pump replaced about a week ago and the next day i was on my way to work and the check engine light came on. I just got it checked today at orielly's and the code was p0446. i had them delete it and im just gonna wait and see if it comes back on. The priint out i got says it could be fuel tank pressure sensor out of calibration. could that be just because i replaced it the computer had to relearn?
 
you have air entering your evap system. when gas in the tank turns to vapor, there's a vacuum line that goes to the intake manifold that pulls all those vapors into it and, since it's just gasoline, it burns. it's a calibrated system, and the car doesn't like when there is air in it. it's possible that the code hasn't come back because the conditions for running the diagnostic test haven't been met. it's not a huge deal, the car can compensate for it, but it sets a check engine light because the EPA doesn't like raw fuel vapor being dumped into the atmosphere. when they changed your fuel pump, they could have damaged the vacuum line, or just not hooked it back up
 


I replaced it which one is the vacuum line? I don't think I damaged anything and I know I got everything hooked back up right
