Helping my cuzin out again the now has no spark what could the problem be their is a code but its map. also put my msd coil packs in and didn't work.
 


check ignition fuses and try swapping out the ignition control module ICM.

she cant afford much, but she is going to a gm mechanic?
 


Yeah, thats why i went home and got my MSDs and it still dident work, it should be getting fuel though because I could hear the pump turn on when I turned the key on.
 
Hard to pinpoint an issue like that. I don't know if a MAP sensor would cause no spark or not. If it's all the cyl not getting fire then yes, ICM would be my first guess, could also be a crank or cam pos sensor. I had a crank pos sensor go out and I had no spark (on a 3100). Could be as simple as a ground also. Let us know what it turned out to be.
 


Map sensor will not cause a no spark scenario.

Crank sensor can be bad without setting a DTC.
