Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

No sound from speakers

Mirraco

One BadAzz GT Dawgg
I started my 01 with Bose in it. I have aftermarket CD player in it as well. Anyway I took it for a drive, started fine, the CD player made the beep sound when I plugged my phone into the usb. But no sound was coming, I thought it was just turned down but no sound.

I tried my cd, radio, and the usb and no sound. Was hoping to take it for the trip to North Dakota but took my g6. I checked the 20 amp fuse for the amp and it was not blown, that's all I checked before I left for my trip. Anyone have a idea on what's wrong? I checked the wires that plug into amp and it was good.

EDIT: FIXED CAR JUST NEED A TAMPON

Is the amp turning on?

What amp are you talking about a factory or aftermarket?

Was the amp on (little light or something)?

Could you have accidentally hit mute?

All the other questions require a meter so let us know when you are back and we'll troubleshoot it.

Its factory bose amp in the trunk, I am not positive if it was on or not, i tried hitting mute, then unmute, to no avail. Where is the light supposed to be on at? I don't recall ever seeing a light on the stock bose amp being on, but I could be wrong. Im assuming either the amp took a poop, or a fuse or not getting enough power somehow. I disconnected the battery cable and reconnected being leaving yesterday and nothing.

I installed the cd player about two years ago now, its kind of something that happened out of no where. I disconnected the subwoofer power cable about two months ago it was smelling hot, i am not sure if it was the subs or my amp, or the stock amp. But did not smell hot after i did that. The speakers always worked, this is the first time I have had any problems.

Does anyone know if there is any more fuses for the stock amp, or anything related to check? I am going to look at the car tomorrow, check the stock power cable, i checked the one 20 amp fuse for the stock amp, and it was not blown, the car didn't do anything, I drove it the day before, parked it, and then started it ready to take a trip in it and no sound.

With the stock amp in there I'm not sure, but I would look for a schematic to check for power on the amp. Stock amps typically don't have an LED. Does it still make the beep sound? If not then the amp may have just failed.

The beep sound is coming from my head unit..

My car has a mind of its own, i went and looked at it today, i unplugged the cords to the amp, and re plugged them back in, i also reset the computer, removed battery cable for a good hour or two, then went back out hooked it back up, and then there is sound.

Not sure what was the problem, but its working fine now..my cars time of the month

Cords to the amp were plugged in, i just took them off, and put them back on, same with the battery cable, positive cable was on there nice and snug. Nothing was unplugged, loose, just figured I would try that before i start getting into it more.
