• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

No sideways action?!

Might as well... Won't be till after winter when I can finally afford some power mods. I don't know whether I wanna keep the blower or not because going turbo seems like the more efficient/cheaper in the long run... I haven't done a whole lot of searching on this stuff so I don't even know the reliability of ZZP's kits... then there's the tranny ...

gotta upgrade that tranny if you really want to mod the L67 out

Oh yeah it's got 93kish miles so it's bound to go sooner or later, even if I get like 240-260 hp on tap (I think that's the typical power gain from like a 3.4 pulley on Gen V or 3.2/3.3 on Gen 3+cam) the tranny will probably not last more than 5-10k miles. I'd probably like to swap it to a turbo and have them tune it all the way down to lowest possible boost so I can have power about the same as stock (so around 200-220 to the wheels) and wait a little bit to build the tranny. On about 220 hp the trans should last long enough for me to build it.

I swaped all my own trans.. i'm thinking about doing a real trans build with harden part but i need some other things done. If you real about the upgrade of the L67 then the best way would be to start is with the trans. Then you know everything.. or anything to throw at it will be handled.. that includes Nos. A shot of blast with the blower can make a kick. otherwise you'll have great motor and car that goes no where.

Good advice but I'll have to figure this out after winter though... I don't know what I'll do with the car yet. It does handle fairly well but I'm eager to take this to a track day on stock power and see what it does. If it's any good or I have a good experience, I'll throw some money at the trans first, then power. If it's not very good in the track then I might have to get rid of it or buy a cheap second car and make this a DD. Meanwhile, I need to get used to the new handling and learn how to drive the car, once winter's over first thing I'll do in spring is go to an open track day and see what it can do.

You have what is essentially a stock gp, it will do awful on a real track. And your Oh so awesome street tires will turn to butter within half a lap. And you will then have the oversteer you so desperately seem to crave.

Yo Quin.... don't lie to the guy that a built trans will last.

Cause.. If you wanna see how to destroy a trans fast.. lemme drive it.

LOL i guess we all could kill one if needed.

I think he just wants a car he can drift around anyways.

... I want a car that behaves similarly to say the type r integras that let the tail slide out a little bit after lift off throttle or little aggressive trail braking...
Sorry, but you bought and modified the wrong car.

And I just have to comment on the snow thing; RWD, supercharged and snow tires.....never a problem if you keep the boost down.

I miss my black 89 5 speed...is that a 90-91' I see? Can't remember when they added the corner markers.

For a 4200# car they move. Were/are you on the SCCOA?

is it an original Canadian car as well? I always envied you guys because you didn't have to deal with the shoulder restraint coming back and hitting you in the face if you weren't careful.
