no shift under wot?

ok guys so i have a perplexing issue, the car shifts as normal all of the time, except when i give it full throttle, it will run up to redline and just bounce off the rev limiter, if i let off the gas and then give it maybe 90 percent throttle it will shift normally.... plus this issue is intermittent, and at random, it does it from 1-2 more often than 2-3, its just really weird, i do have a zzp shift kit, which i have been thinking about changing to a transo go kit almost since i put it in, i mean i am happy with the performance i just never liked the idea of teflon spacers, but its been in over a year and these issues have started happening recently, i changed the filter and fluid when i did the shift kit and didnt find anything to be worried about in there.... any ideas guys?

And it was 95 degrees today and I made like 4 wot pulls playing around with this chick and it didn't miss a beat

No way, I meant it didn't miss a beat shifting and my trans temp usually stays pretty cool, i always check it after it sticks on me, and it 174 just like it usually is once the car is all the way up to temp...

And how do you drive an automatic badly? Lol and I've only done like 3 burnouts ever, and I try to avoid hard launches ...

That is an input speed sensor reluctor wheel. there's three pins that hold it to the gear. that one was screwed and loctite'd. My current one is welded. No more playing around for how I drive.

I was thinking it was the pcs solenoids or something, but can I change that without dropping the trans? Also I see you have the single drive chain... So I should do that if I'm busting the tranny open, any other hard parts you can change out when I get to it? I've rebuild a 700r4 and some turbo 350's but fwd trannys are all new to me, but I was a jet mechanic so it can't be THAT hard lol

you'll want this trans out of the car to rebuild it. it's easiest when you make a bracket to hold it to an engine stand. Ask Adecker.. there's pics in his thread of the bracket.

It's not that hard. I'd suggest sending the valve body to Dave at TEP Performance. He does amazing work with them.

Well I'm not ready to rebuild the whole thing, was hoping I could fix the problem now, then get a junkyard trans and do a complete rebuild, w hard parts.. TEP is in Indiana I found out so I'll prob send him the valve body, and I don't know if you've heard of south bend clutch but they made badass clutches I'll have them make me some for my trans, but could I pop the side cover off and change that reluctor wheel? Or should I focus my mod money on my trans? Cuz I just got all the bits and pieces for my intercooler and last night finished porting and polishing my manifold and was super stoked to install it... Haha I've just barely got 100k miles, wouldn't think the tranny is toast yet... 3.4 pulley with supporting mods should make that much power should it?

Whoa...I said that's from driving badly.. not that I think it's your issue. I think your issue is a lazy and worn trans.

Oh I don't know think I drive badly lol, aggressively at times for sure lol, but if I have to pull the trans I'm going to rebuild it, i was hoping to wait till this winter when I put the car up, but if I can change out the wheel in a weekend def worth it... I haven't been to the track all year and I haven't made a pass with my meth injection and I've dying to go but afraid I'm not gonna shift right and embarrass myself lol... But it only does it 10 percent of the time.

No I have not actually it happens so infrequently, usually when I'm on my way to or from work... So I never think about it

Here's something to contemplate... I recently reset the PCM (took battery out to clean up my engine bay a little) and since then it hasn't done this once...

It will eventually come back if there is a problem with the transmission. When you disconnected the battery you reset the TAP's it had stored, so now it is relearning. Not trying to poop in your Cherrios, just letting you know that the problem might not be fixed. If it's gone about about 2-300 miles, then your chances are much better.
