No power to head unit

Ok, this is my first post. I read the "how to" on installing an after market stereo and it helped alot, so really appreciate that.

I have a 2000 Grand Prix w/ Bose and a Sony CDX-GT740UI.

Everything has been great for a few weeks and suddenly today the head unit won't turn on. So I took it out to see what the problem was and it appears that I accidentally stripped part of the +12v power cable somehow, probably caught on something when I was sliding the head unit in before. So it had some bare wires exposed. The connection wasn't broken at all, so I covered the bare section with electrical tape, but now the unit still won't turn back on.

I checked the external fuse on the head unit, and it's OK. Any other suggestions?

I'm guessing maybe one of the fuses in the car is blown? I could use some help on locating the appropriate fuse.

Ok, so I found that the "radio" fuse was OK but the "radio amp" fuse was blown. I replaced the blown fuse and still got nothing.

I checked across the "radio" and "radio amp" fuse terminals in the fuse box, both have power. But I checked the +12v pin on the car wiring harness, and it's cold.

Any ideas?
