IDK if this is the correct spot for this tread so if an admin. wants to move it to where it belongs its fine with me. thanks in advance.
So i finally got sick of spilling my drinks going around any corner faster than 2mph and i did something about it. I made some new cup-holders out of a center council from the junk yard and two 3" pvc couplings. Here are the results. (sorry cellphone pics)

Its not perfect and i wish i had used a gel coat to get rid of some imperfections but it's functionality is what really matters. The color would have matched better if i hadn't clear coated it but its close enough. Opinions are welcome!

thats pretty cool man. Honestly i like the stock cup holders as they just pop right out lol. Every girl/woman thats ridden in my car say ohh thats so cool or damn i love how they pop out.

Lmao....I had an ex girlfriend call me up out of the blue one day and after talkin for a while she told me she really missed my Prix because of the cupholders. I was like wha? But to the OP, you did a really nice job on it. I just like making them disappear when theyre not needed. Like ex girlfriends.
 
Thanks guys for the feedback! I get the disappearing factor but i use my cup-holder for my phone so its out all the time anyway. I did take "inspiration" from the grand am cup-holders but much bigger and deeper! lol :)

nope, tight space. yeah the park thing is kinda bad but i figure if your going into park you can grab your drink first.

wait, time out. now that i see this when im at home...you only have one cup holder now? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

where does the second cup go? and dont tell me the passenger holds it.
 


wow never seen a monte cup-holder set up before, i'm pretty good at copping what i don't know lol.

The dash is all effed up because i'm still working on getting the bugs out of the computer system. That's not a head unit, it's a VGA touchscreen monitor. I have it wired up to a computer for music videos and such. Eventually i'll have an OBDII port to usb and see what i could mess with when i get that. I'm working on fiberglassing in that screen, i'll post some pics when i finish it with my good camera. I also have to work on a new sub box to fit the two 2ch amps and computer and the 15's. sorry for making this reply so lengthy, just got done with work and wanted to talk.
 
Nice work I love custom work like this. Now when you go thru a drive thru at a fast food joint you can say X-tra large drink please :-)
