• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

No Layoff Policies

Yeah, just goes to prove there are other ways to cut costs than to ruin peoples livelihood. Ive been laid off before and I didnt like it much but I was okay with it as they got to do what they got to do and I eventually was brought back, but it always concerned me that most companies approach to things to cut the bottom line was to cut the people and that just never seemed like a smart thing to do.

A good friend of mine works for Safelite Autoglass and was told that "Voluntary layoffs" would be expected for employees to take,or get just plain out get laid off at random.Voluntary being the better of the two as they will continue paying benefits for X amount of time plus obvious unemployment. How fair is that?

I think that is far from fair. Its like someone asking you which of your children do you love most. They know virtually no one will take that and so they save a bunch of money in the process.
