No Interior Dash or Climate control illumination

I just bought a used 2002 Grand Prix GTP on saturday. Love the car so far but the only thing that needs some help is the interior illumination.

The dash and climate control area does not light up when I turn the lights on. The radio works because it is an aftermarket receiver and also the light behind the headlight/dimmer switches turns on. I have checked all the fuses and everything seems fine there. I don't have any experience working on the Grand Prixs yet so hoping you guys would have some wisdom you could impart to me.

Any help would be amazing considering its kinda hard to drive at night currently. Let me know
 


I have read that the headlight switch might be an option. I would order one right away just wondering about the back lighting of the headlight switch itself. The red light is coming from the headlight switch just not dash and climate control area.
