Hello All, I have a 2006 Grand Prix and it now has no heat. I bled the coolant system and there are no leaks. I cant figure out what the problem is. Any suggestions would help. Thanks in advance.

Don't turn on the a/c and play with the temp control knob. Will the temperature change any at all when you adjust the temp. control? I don't mean enough to where you thank you can tell. I mean from cold to a little warm. Just trying to figure out if it's the temp control module itself or something else. GMs HVAC controls are exactly good.

Why did you bleed the coolant system? Did you do this to try and fix your no heat problem? Or did you bleed the coolant system, then you found you have no heat?

Check the simple things first. Make sure your radiator is full of coolant. If your car has a radiator cap, remove that, and make sure the radiator is full to the top. Note that the radiator cap is different from the overflow tank.

I bled the coolant system to try and solve the no heat problem because thats what an older post on here said to try. I tried changing the temperature knob with the A/C off and the temperature didnt change. How do I get to the temperature control module, if that is the problem? thanks for all the quick responses, it is much appreciated.

id check the heater core. if its blowing air but not hot air then your fan and controls work. its prolly the heater core or the heater control valve. i could be wrong but i diagnose these all day at work and that usually is the culprit. good luck

thanks for the help, but if the heater core was bad, wouldnt it leak? Could the heater core be clogged? Should I try flushing it? Once again thanks for all the help.

its possible for the core to be bad and not leak. you could prolly go to a local shop and have it fixed for cheap.
