Changed ignition switch changed multi switch checked fuses changed all # 194 bulbs(dash) Fuse # 37 parking light fuse is ok but it only has power to it and not to the headlight/ parking light harness.Changed light dimmer switch,Factory radio i unplugged. So what is the problem this car is going to a new home soon i can feel it real cheap.1998 gtp 269 kms. Also fog lights turn on when highbeams are used that is backwards.Door chimes no lights on or keys in ignition.:(

Sounds like the ign. switch is still fubared somewhere. May have to pop the cover back off and make sure that all the pins in the harness are good and tight and one didn't back out.

Well I got it fixed and it was not the new ignition switch. Can not even say how easy this was.Perfect repair if I do say so myself.Funny only one person stepped up to help. The rest ???????????????????? I guess we 2 are the only ones with the lighting problems with our GP's.

Hey friend my dash lights are out, Tail Lights are out, door chime beeps real fast, daytime running lights out. All happened at the same time to my 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix. Any help or suggestions from you would be fantastic. I noticed you had a similar problem. Thanks a million!

Mine was short under the big fuse block under the hood. The wire came out of the back.... I just lifted up fuse block and it stopped. So I knew it was there

Ya!!!! FIGURED IT OUT! It really was simple. I'm not that good at fixing cars and I fixed this without even fully removing my dash. It was the dang headlight multi switch to the left of the steering wheel on the dash. The switch is like $150 but easy to change by gently pulling the driver side dash back to create room enough to unplug the wire plug and wiggle the switch out. The part has a warranty too. When I replaced it, the fast door chime went away, daytime running lights and tail lights started working again, and the dash lights started working again! Do this job YOURSELF! I had a shop quote me like $750 to fix this. I also encourage everyone to post fix it's on YouTube. Lets all save money right? I'll try and post a how to on YouTube in the near future about this. Again, I drive a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix SE with a 3.1L v6. This fix was easy. Just a headache figuring out the cause. Also, check your fuses after you change it out. I had to replace a fuse in the box under the hood that went out when the part went out. It was a yellow one and I can't exactly remember which one so just pull them out and check them. Hope this helps someone.

Thank you damonest82... I had the exact problem and mine was also the fuse box under the hood.. if it wasn't for you, I would have never thought to look there.
