No 4th gear & slips/shacks at take off!

2000 Grand Prix GT with 135,000 miles on it

Lost 4th gear about a month ago and now it shakes/slips at take off, especially when I hit the gas pedal a little hard. If I slowly hit the gas pedal and speed up at 20 mph this doesn't happen. Pressure problem? Also, I'm sure my clutch hub splines are gone...how hard would this be to replace or should I contact a mechanic? :th_nervous:
 


Welcome to the forum, but this should be in the transmissions section to get the right attention.

Slipping does seem like a pressure control solenoid issue, and the no fourth is tied to sheared splines.
