no 4th gear a WOT please help

at WOT it wont shift to 4th gear it just rides 3rd gear all the way to the red line and wont go any faster
 


You don't want it to shift into 4th unless you have a built trans or you won't have 4th gear anymore after that.
 
It might be your tune. If i remember correctly ZZP has it so your car doesn't go into 4th at WOT so you won't kill your 4th gear.

dsmuts i was doing a top speed run, and you all arent making sense because ive done it before and its gone to 4th gear
 
Do you have a scan with it doing this? If so.. look at commanded or current gear. See if it's telling the trans to shift or not. Then take a look at your shift tables to ensure nothing got swapped up in there.
 
Please try and stay on topic guys. There's no need for a beatdown etc.

I've done many WOT runs and it's the judgement of the guy doing it as to why. If the motor blows, it's his responsibility, if something else happens...it's his. We won't necessarily agree, but there's no need to sidetrack the topic.

4th gear is a non hardened shaft and strips out quite easily that's why you shouldn't go wot to 4th and because its dangerous to go that fast.
 


im gonna get it looked at i dont have a scan tool that good, now i understand WOT runs arent good for the car but there a lot of fun, how dangours is it for the car? thease engines are bulletproof but the trands im not so sure about
 
ive actually been reading around and what not i think my problem might be that im not getting 3rd gear in WOT
 
what mph are you running? shift into 2nd should be around 50, shift into 3rd should be around 95, and shift into 4th I don't know because i've never done it. It's dangerous because if your shift into 4th at wot you'll be over 130 and chances are your tires are rated for it.
 


the 4T65E trans should shift from 2-3 durning WOT at 85mph which is around where my car is and then it just hits the red line also my tires are rated to 136+mph the car can do over 140mph
 
i know i know i thought it was no 4th gear but really it turned out to be im getting no 3rd gear at WOT and yeah i really hope it doesnt come to that
