The ZEX kits are more user friendly, and kinda-semi idiot proof. Plug and play installment. Simple to install, and simple to operate. Best bet for any beginner.
How safe is the bottle in the trunk?
Safe as in how? The bottle is durable, and can take a beating in the event of a crash if thats what you mean. Trust me...on that one. Mount it where you want it, and think long and hard about its location ahead of time. I mounted mine in the upper left side behind the back seat in my car. I can still get to my spare tire with out having to remove the bottle. I upgraded my plastic bottle brackets that came with my kit to a set of metal ones after I was rear ended and my full bottle broke clean off the mounts. After I was hit, the mounts were still bolted to the floor in the trunk, and the straps around the bottle were still attached to the bottle. Now...that sucker, the new metal ones are bolted in really-really good, and ain't going anywhere. I pop riveted a piece of 1/4" thick 6061 T6 aluminum to the trunk floor, then bolted the brackets to those going clear through and on into the body of the car as well.
As said above, depends state to state. Usually is $32.00 to $37.00 here on a empty bottle. (10lbs.) Helpful tip on a good bottle fill is to bring them a "chilled" bottle. Meaning, do walk in with a hot ass bottle, instead, plan ahead, and put the bottle in your freezer for a day or two, and then take it to the refill spot in a cooler. You will get more for your money when they fill a cold bottle vs. a hot one. :th_thumbsup-wink:
How long does one bottle last?
Depends on the shot your running, track passes, etc. Usually you can maybe squeeze about 10 passes out of a bottle on a small shot. I personally never run my bottle empty, if the bottle pressure drops below 800 PSI I do not run it anymore.
Everyone is different and everyone in their own mine is right and stuck with their ways. You will here hundreds of different ways to do this. Personally, I adjust the MAF, plug gap, O2's, and timing.
How much tuning is required?
A real tuners job is never ever done. Your always adjusting your car, depending on the weather. Main thing to watch and scan for is your O2's, you want to avoid a lean condition at all times. You go lean, with the bottle...stock pistons don't like that.

How safe is it for the motor?
Depends if your keeping the HP shot with in a sane amount for your motors build and mods. On a stock motor, you can safely, and I use that loosely, run up to a 75 shot with no worries. Main thing is to always have a good fuel supply, and pressure, and the right timing and you will be fine.
Not really a complete question there...but personally, I run between a 55-65 dry shot. I know my car can take more, but I don't use my nitrous as a power adder...I use it as a air cooler, to cool down the air the blower heats up.
How much power will it add?
Depends on the shot. or the jets you use. Each jet is made different to allow so much fuel and so much nitrous in for so much horse power. My system is a dry system, so I only have one jet for the nitrous to change as I see or feel fit. Example, a 55 shot, basically means 55 more horse power. But on my jets, they have the size of the hole on the jet in numbers, so you have to read the numbers, and know what jet/hp shot your installing based off that number.
