NGK Tr6ix plugs

Can't find nothing on the forum about these plugs, but if anybody has any experience with them please comment.

Now I've ran Tr6ix years ago on the GS and they were flawless(left them at factory gap .035" I believe)

Switched up for a minute and went with the Tr6 all copper and they were nice too (gapped to 3800performance/ZZP recommendations well close enough at .053")

So now im going back to the NGK tr6ix iridium. though they recommend not to gap iridiums i've done it before, just not to NGK iridiums.

So NGK iridiums come pre gapped at .035"-.039" I believe and the NGK tr6 copper are recommended around .055" give or take for max power out.

Though the iridiums are precious metal, would I benefit from gapping the tr6ix up a bit maybe to around .045" a lil closer toward the copper tr6 range?

Tr6ix run cooler so they shouldn't get that hot. Im currently on a 3.4" pulley about 9-10lbs boost maybe less though.

But yeah these tr6ix have a lot to offer so im just tryna get the most out of them with a lil more gap

From what I've read and understand, You'll want to stick to the coppers, Iridiums are too hot, and the copper 104s or 103s will be better for knock on modified setups.

Im in a GS, but have anyone gapped a tr6ix iridium? Im thinking of gapping them to .040"-.045" but ill rather know the outcome before I waste my time

The stock tr6ix gap definitely worked the few years I ran them but im hoping for a more complete consistent combustion with a lil more gap.

A gap of .045" on a tr6ix iridium plug shouldn't cause spark plug blow out should it? At the moment just a 3.4" pulley no more than 9lbs of boost

stock gap is .060 you maybe going to small. just putting copper plugs in my car, tr55's woke it up. the AL104's the car liked better tho. im gaped at 55

My understanding is colder plug...smaller gap. And the tr6 is definitely colder than stock correct

.040 max. I'd stick with .035 personally.

I know that's because they're iridium, but the copper core tr6 are recommended to be gapped at .055"-.057".

That's a nice size difference between the two plugs. Minds well stay with the copper core at .055" if I cant raise the iridiums up.

I was just tired of the short interval of the copper cores

Those plugs suck.

That's why there is no one using them.

Old motors, old technology, old school tricks work.

High octane, low temp T-Stats, and cold copper plugs. Done and done. AL104's, gapped at .050".

AL 104s are 1 or 2 heat ranges colder?

So AL104s over NGK tr6 copper core?

why are you running a cooler plug in the first place? your mod list in the sig dont really require them

unless you have a 3.4 pulley on that we dont know about?

My sig should state that I have a 3.4" pulley but if it doesn't.....in the beginning of my thread I clearly state that I have a 3.4" pulley with around 9lbs of boost

Come on scotty read the post/thread
