• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Next Upgrade?

wouldn't it be easier to just do a full engine swap. in stead of worriing about the new top seating right on the old bottom.

Easier? Depends on who is doing the work. Plus, there are certain benefits to using the naturally aspirated short block. Cam timing is already advanced a little, and the compression is higher.

I doubt there would be any problems with seating since everything just bolts right up the same way. Plus a top swap would be way way faster, a lot less trouble, and quite a bit cheaper too.

Essentially you're turning your car into a GTP with a top swap! There are advantages to this, as well as disadvantages.

So why not just call it a supercharger instead of a top swap? What am I missing here? Can you explain this a little simpler for people who don't understand like myself?

It's not just the supercharger. It's the whole top end of the engine (heads, lower intake, throttle body, supercharger, etc) that has to be swapped. Hence "top swap".

Lets put it this way, if I add on a sc do I need to do a top swap or is it optional?

Did you read the top swap thread?

There are two options. You can top swap (preferred method), or you can use ZZP's SS M90 kit. The major difference is whether or not you have to pull the heads.
