Hello I am new here.

Have a 2004 GTP and i just started noticing a grinding noice under the car. Happens ONLY when you let off gas and coast, get on gas it goes away. Jacked front of car up and put in drive - sound appears to come from transmission area - could not confirm exact location. But when wheels slowed down ( coast ) to about 5 miles per hour noise goes away UNTIL you press gas again. .

Any ideas?

Grabbed and wiggeled drive shafts but they seem tight and no nise or click sounds, seemed stiff.

Does not go away on turns. Had car on blocks off ground and ran it in forward and reverse. only makes noise in forward after 5-10 mph, AND ONLY AFTER YOU TAKE FOOT OFF GAS. then when it coast down to less then 10mph it stops. checked drive shafts they are tight and no noise.

Not sure what bearings you are speaking of? Bearings at wheel hub or bearing in trany area?

the wheel hub, is your steering wheel shaking while driving or braking? do you feel and vibrations in the pedals?

no shake or vibration. And it does it when the car is on blocks and thus no pressure on the road.

However your cv axles are putting pressure on your wheel bearings. If it is a wheel bearing... it will get louder over time.
