New wheels

So I have these 18 inch Baccarat Kologne wheels on my car

and I hate them. WAAAY too much bling for my taste. I have looked through pics of GTPs with custom wheels and I saw quite a few that I liked but I really don't know how to determine what size I need. I know that I want either 17 or 18 inch wheels but how do I figure out bolt pattern and offset? I saw some that said 5 X 115 bolt pattern and then I went to a place to order another set I liked and saw that the closest pattern was 5 X 114.3. Is this a "close enough" kind of thing or is there a specific pattern that I really should look for? I've never bought wheels before.

our bolt pattern is 5x115, 5x114.3 wheels fit, but are not correct. many, many people have run them without any issues for a very long time.

for offset, youre going to want to stay above +35mm to make sure you dont rub, but dont go too high (our stock offset is +52mm) or youll rub on the opposite side youre trying to avoid. the 'zen' offset for our cars is between +38mm and +42mm.

I would stick with 5x115... I've heard some people can run them, but others get extreme vibration over 50 and it isnt good for your car. Just stick with what its supposed to have

I agree 5x114.3 wheels fit just fine, I had a set on my old gtp, and never once had a problem. It just broadens your wheel search by being able to use these size wheels.

sorry bad choice of words - it can lead to loose bolts while driving.

I researched it a while back when I was looking for a set of wheels, because our cars 5x115 is so hard to find. I had read a few places that the size difference made the bolts loosen while drive, and though I havnt read of a wheel coming completely off there have been some scary stories of the wheel becoming extremely loose. I didnt ever heard of it on a grand prix. Its just a personal opinion that I would stick with the 115.

here is a discussion on it:

What is the verdict: Bolt Pattern 5x114.3 or 5x115? - Page 5 - Chrysler 300C Forum: 300C & SRT8 Forums

I know it could be totally different for our cars, but they have a point.

Glad you are switching out those wheels. They are a bit much for me too. :p

TSW & Enkei make some nice wheels.

I love the black and machined wheels, I bought mine last summer because I thought I would like them but over time I'm liking the look of the black or black/machined wheels way better. Craigslist is always a good place too look, I got mine there for a really cheap price.
