Hey everyone,

I got my base model 2008 Grand Prix a little over a year ago at about 172,000 miles, rebuilt salvage. Since then i've put in a new transmission, battery, brakes, thermostat, EVAP vent solenoid, flushed the coolant, and done some other fluid changes as well. I just replaced all of the interior lights and license plate lights with LEDs, have reverse light LEDs in the mail as well as some xenon headlights. I need to have some lights replaced in the radio and the CD player fixed and I believe the parking brake cable is snapped. Exhaust has a couple holes and needs to be replaced. And it needs some paint work in a couple different spots. Anyway, it's fast approaching 190,000 miles and a lot of TLC has gone a long way. It's my daily driver and I plan on putting at least another 40,000 miles into it.

The parking brake cables tend to seize and burn up the rear discs. See my thread in "Rides" section to find out more, lol.

Just rediscovered this thread at 210,000 miles. I replaced the radio with a refurbished one, replaced the entire parking brake assembly, replaced the resonator, replaced the entire front end and repainted the rear bumper. One project to the next with this car but I still love it all the same. Currently have some suspension issues and an engine surging problem to fix, but we'll get to the promised land one day :)
