• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hello all. I'm a first time GP GTP owner, but long-time admirer. I bought one on a whim after window shopping and spotting one at a local car dealer. The black paint looked like it needed some TLC and they had to jump-start it due to a dead battery - so I was cautious to say the least. But it was exactly what I was looking for (a 97-03 black GTP with low miles) - the interior was in great condition and was clean under the hood - figured I'd take it for a spin. It ran and rode smooth and quite - 2003 with 94K miles. But upon pulling it up on some ramps at my house during the test drive, it had a definite PS leak and the tran pan gasket was leaking. Lots of dirt and grime underneath due to the fluid leaks. After cleaning it up a bit, I noticed the PS fluid was coming from the hardline at the rack. On back to the dealership...

Asking price was $8995 :th_eyepopping:...no thank you. After bargaining, I picked it up for $4000 cash - put a new battery in it, replaced the tran pan gasket and filter, repaired the PS leak (loose line :th_winking:) and hand buffed it (still need to put some power on it) and loving it. Had it for almost 2 months now and it's a great car. Only thing I don't like is the polished tri-stars - on top of that the guy has the tire's raised white lettering on the outside :th_sick1:. Would really rather have one of the OEM five star options - but who wouldn't? So if anyone is in Georgia, has one of the factory 5 star rim options and wants my polished tris - PM me, I have no problem swapping :).

Guess that's it for now, I look forward to gaining some useful info here.
