Hello guys, I'm new to these forums but am excited to get information here. A lot of you guys seem pretty knowledgeable about these cars.
I don't work on cars, and don't know much about it really. But I would like to know at least a bit more about my car.

I've got a 1999 Grand Prix GT, and it seems pretty good condition for how many miles it has. It's got about 212,000. It's a lot, but I've read that these cars can last quite long.

So my main question here is what are some basic tips as to keep this car running as long as possible? And are there any basic modifications that would be worthwhile?

Up near Fargo. Though I drive down to Minneapolis occasionally! So yeah, winter conditions and rust are a factor with taking care of this car..
Oh I see you're from Rogers. I used to work there a few years ago. Actually bought this car in Rogers!

Lived in rogers for 21 years now, used to work at the Tires Plus in town for a couple years.

Basics to making it live a long life are just the normal crap. Oil changes, make sure the LIM gaskets have been done atleast once, coolant aswell. Check suspension over every now and then to make sure control arm bushing are fine and no loose tie rods or wheel bearings.
