New Timing Chain Dampener - Good? [pics]

Hi kids! Got myself a new timing chain dampener here, fresh out of an undamaged box... with what appears to be markings from something hard and heavy falling on its edge. I wanted to take a quick poll on if it's good to put in, or if I should send it back. This is just something I have no clue on. Thanks!

It can take a beating and still put tension on the chain. I'd say as long as it doesn't sit unevenly against the chain it's good to go.

I was going to ask if it had that line across it...I saw about three the other year with that line and it worried me at first.

Those are fine.

The line actually worried me, too - It looks like two moldings pushed together, which made me concerned for durability. But now you cats have made me feel better. I'm gonna shove this in a car's face, then.
