New Struts question

The quick strut is the whole assembly, no point in paying for springs you are going to replace. I would buy just the struts, add the lowering springs and mounting plates and install those as assemblies.

if you get lowering springs with 19's you might have clearance issues with the strut. there is a thread on wheels, and it will tell you the sizes of wheels you can run without having clearance issues. it might be a good idea to sell the 19's and put an oem wheel back on because the increased weight wears out the struts faster.

I have the KYB AGX struts on my 2001 all around and really like them. at the drag strip I will put the firmness all the way up to 4 and the tires grab better. From what I've heard, they hold up the best when paired with lowering springs

Depends on the offset then you may need roll the fenders.. Only way to find out for sure is to do it some guys will rub some guys won't just be prepared for when you do. You can always grab a Eastwood fender roller off eBay just in case or use a rubber mallet to work the fender slightly.

Ahh alright... And there is no way in hell I'm selling these wheels haha. I have my stockers for winter time. I might just toss them on and see. And I have no future at the drag strip becuase I'm na;)

Yea I'm not to worried about them wearing out. Mine are on original struts with 140k on them;) anything is better than what I have

Keyword shouldn't.. But there's always that one unfortunate unicorn that will have to roll em.

When I was debating this I opted not to get the quick struts. I believe I heard quality issues with that option. I went with KYBs including mounts. I reused my old springs. The air tools helped and you need to rent a spring compressor. It's a bit of work but definitely doable. Don't forget the alignment cause you are going to need one. 40k miles later and no issues.

He def rolled his fenders lol. The rear your almost garunteed you have too

Your right he did.
Good chance it was because he had it dropped aggressively on the coilovers.
235/40/19 is basically the same diameter as 245/45/18 with the 18s being a little taller.
I have a 40ET,not sure what yours are.

I didn't rub with SSCs and 100,000 mile FE3s

I think i should be ok... Does anyone know what would need to be transferred over from the old struts... I know probably that rubber accordion thing and thsts all I can think of
