Alright, it's about that time. I've currently got a Motorola Devour (rooted, optimized for speed, usually works better than my friend's Droid X with the exception of playing games). Obviously I'm on Verizon and I'm stuck between two phones. HTC Thunderbolt or Motorola Droid Bionic. I like the specs of the Bionic better, but it's still a Moto device which means it'll probly be locked down, plus it won't be available until summer, whereas the Thunderbolt should be available in a month. Which one to get?
 


If anyone else suggests the iPhone I'm going to go ape****. The iPhone is for n00bs who just like a nice interface, Android is for power users who like to actually do things. Btw they're both 4G Android phones guys.

It is overrated I agree, but I had an android phone and then I went to an iPhone and I'm glad I did. But I guess out of your two choices take the droid I guess.
 
Just to end this iPhone thing now before it starts...multitasking + 4G = iPhone killer. Again, I really don't have anything against the iPhone, it's just not for me. It's for people who just want their phone to work nqa.

My Devour (Android) was a POS before I rooted it and got rid of bloatware -- I'll never have anything but Android, unless something better comes along (doubtful in the foreseeable future).
 
i cant wait to get rid of my crackberry for a droid. my storm survived having a whole brandy and coke on it. at least if it would have stopped working i could have gotten a new phone, but now ill just root it so i can get ride of the crappy verizon bloatware and keep it going until i get my free upgrade in june. i think im going for a droid 2, i like the slider keyboard and ive never had one before so i figured id give it a whirl.

Lol it seems everyone hates their Blackberry. My gf wanted one really bad but now that she has one she's rather disappointed. You're gonna love Android.
 


4G for now is mostly just advertising, it won't be readily available for every city for a while. I'd go with the Droid as well, somebody will eventually hack it so you can delete all of the MotoBlur bullsht, did that on my Droid 2. I never even ever use any of those preinstalled apps anyways.
 
4G is actually available in my area so I'll be able to use it. I'm thinkin I'll go with the Droid even though I'll have to wait longer because it's got the Tegra 2 powerplant.
