First post here so hi to all.
I'm about to close a deal tomorrow on a 2005 GP GT. Got a good deal on it from an auto body shop and couldn't be more thrilled, runs like a top. Only problem I have with the car is the radio. The display on it doesn't work, it looks like someone is playing snake on it instead of typical radio stuff. It will play music, but none of the preset or seek button work, just the tuning dial.
I like to listen to the radio, so I want it to work. Problem is I know **** all about cars. From what I see replacing the radio isn't supposed to be the hardest thing, but I don't even have the faintest idea where to start. I'm just wondering if you guys think I have the ability to do it, and if so can you direct me to where they could explain it to someone who has the car knowledge of a 5 year old.
Also what would be the difference in price from installing my own new system to paying someone to do it for me?
Any help you can give is greatly appreciated.
