I just purchased an 08 Grand prix and I was wondering what would be the easiest and cheapiest way to increase the horse power on it. I don't know all the much about cars but I know the basics. My Girlfriend has the 05 GXP and I want to add a little more to mine. Any advice would be greatly welcome.

getting a GT out of the 14s is a hell of an ordeal that costs a lot of money.

it depends on what you want to do with the car before we can make recommendations. do you want it to blow the doors off 'vettes or do you just want to edge out the ricers on the street?

I am also interested in some info on this subject. not trying to get to sub 10s but would like it have a little more get up and go.

its my ol ladys car...but would like to pass on the highway with a bit more ease...looking for bout 30-50 more horses and a little more tourqe

you want a basic 3.4 pulley setup then. you got a seriesII or seriesIII?

youll want:

3" downpipe (to replace the restrictive stock one, and possibly the u-bend if you have a 97-03)
front powerlog (replaces the front manifold)
a step cooler spark plugs (AL104s)
any type of intake (FWI, CAI, HAI, open cone)
180* thermostat (keeps the car a little cooler than a stock 195*)
3.5"/3.4" pulley for the supercharger
and a tuned PCM for the increase in air flow youve just made (more fuel needed)

that wakes the car up a lot and still leaves it very reliable.

:th_thumb-up: Listen to Bio. I recently took my '01 GT and finally came to the dark side of the Supercharger world. :th_bowdown:. I changed the Downpipe to the 3" for better flow and added ceramic coated Plog and rear manifolds. Also added a CAI and got a noticable, but not dramatic, change in speed. Then I did a top swap last weekend, and good god. So nice. So basically, get a CAI and downpipes if you aren't quite commited to a top swap yet or supercharger kit. That way if you decide to change, you wont have money down the tubes. :D
