Hi y'all! I just picked up a 2000 GTP. I have always wanted a GTP and I am psyched to have one. It does have a lower end knock, so I am pulling the engine this weekend for a rebuild. Should be a fun project! I can't wait to get her going and back on the road.

Depending on your skill level etc, you may want to consider another motor instead of rebuilding. It's typically more cost effective.

I am a mechanic, so I don't see a problem rebuilding it. I don't want to do a used engine because you never know what you are getting. I would rather do the rebuild and know it is solid.
