New OEM Brake line won't stop leaking!

sounds like air in the master, if it went dry at any time its got air in it.

you got the right idea there to bleed it, best to crack the line free, then leave the wrench on it and wrap a rag around it, cause fluid can fly, watch your eyes too. you'll hear the air pushing out.

bleed it just like a caliper, pump the pedal, hold it down, crack the line, repeat.
 


OK thanks for the affirmation. I thought that was the only way of doing it cause the master rail doesn't have a bleeder screw....wonder why they never put a 35 cent bleeder valve on master for easier bleeding? Thanks for the heads up on fluid everywhere and rag....
 
most masters dont have a bleeder, when new you bench bleed them, they come with tubes and fittings for th eline nuts, then you put the tubes in th emaster res and push the piston with a screw driver till no more air comes out the tubes.

but a 97-98 w body has its master bolted to the abs pump, and its got 2 bleeders.
 
must be, cause all ive owned is GM cars and trucks, all but 1 1980 power wagon, 1, 77 rabbit and a 67 mg for a short time, dont buy those, what a pos lol

ive owned something from every gm stable but olds.
