so by spring i will have a 3.4 pulley, intense PCM, TDC racing FWI, APP 104's, and 180 tstat will i have knock? ill have a scanner to see if i am getting knock...if i do get knock will a downpipe, tb shield and spacer eliminate it? also when i get my pcm tuned how many degrees of timing should i have them add? they say up to 3 with 93 octane.....but they offer one and two also? whats a good choice im not so sure how timing/knock coincide but just some real tech info would be nice soo lemme know what you guys think alright...

Ahh, there ya go. Sorry, wasnt trying to be difficult, just trying to get the posts where they need to be so that everyone gets the help they need.

It's nearly impossible to tell you if you'll have knock or not. Though, to drop a pulley, I'd say a DP is a requirement.

You'll more than likely knock quite a bit with that setup, even with the addition of the downpipe I'll bet you'll still see a good deal of KR (don't bother with the TB shield and spacer, your money is better spent elsewhere). Some people have gotten away with just a plog/downpipe with the 3.4" pulley and seen little to no knock but nowadays that's pretty uncommon. Headers would be the best way to go IMO.

It could lead to engine damage, chipped pistons and such. Besides running a pulley will most likely make your car slower because the KR you will get will take away your timing.

Theres nothing wrong with the stock pulley in your case...

To be on the safe side, it wouldn't hurt to look into a 3.5 instead of a 3.4. Like Sabrewings said, Def. get a dp either the 2.5 or a 3in. A plog would help in fighting KR but headers would be the best. A plog might be a better option if money is tight and cant afford headers. Just scan scan scan!

Theres no way to tell if it's false without a tuner. But that is a pretty good number for being stock. I have seen worse. With a tuner, A MAF tune and a few other minute things should take care of that KR no problem.
