• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hey everyone, My name is Alex, I just recently purchased a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. It is red, 2dr, has the polished wheels, and only 77k miles. I bought it off the original owner. It has a Trasher 3.4 in pulley, 4" intake, gutted cats, ZZP PCM. I really like this car, I have had a variety of vehicles, including BMW's Explorer's, a couple of Honda's..etc and this one for the money is by far the best deal, tons of power, a lot of fun, and comfortable but can still hold its own on a back road. Looking forward to keeping this one for awhile. I will have some pics up as soon as it isnt freezing outside. Looking forward to learning how to work on this and learn about the quirks.

If anyone is from Louisville KY or close let me know, would really like to get a group together

Hey Alex, welcome to the forums. Happy to have you here. If you can, get a scan for KR. Having the 3.4 pulley with only a few support mods, you may be in a bad zone.

What would you reccomend to be able to fix this?

Your not to far off. Get a set of headers with either the catted or non catted DP, some Autolite 104 plugs, and a 180 t-stat. With what you already have, that should set you up pretty good. I myself really shouldn't have it yet, but mine was done before I found this site. Trying to get everything I need too.

Thanks, yeah the Thermostat and water pump are being done this week, along with belts...ill just throw in the plugs also, how bad are the plugs to get to on the back side?

Take your dog bones loose and use a strap to pull your motor forward a bit. That'll give you a little more room to work. Then just the basic tools, universal, extension, and stuff like that.

Here are a couple quick pics
