Hello all,
My name is Kyle and I'm from Bucks County, Pa. I have a 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp G with a few minor mods done to it (wizair intake, 180 degree thermostat, colder plugs). I recently discovered this forum and decided to join in order to get more informed on beginner - moderate mods for the 04+ GTPs.
I've only lightly browsed the write-ups on this forum, but I can't find anything on the differences between header kits and how to install them. I was wondering if anyone could give me a link or create a writeup on what types of headers are easiest to install/have good durability and performance increases.
Also, since there are several different kits that include different components like the cat and downpipe, I've become quite confused on what other components I will need if I were to purchase an SLP kit, or a TOG kit. What I would really like to view is a diagram of the entire stock 04+ GTP exhaust layout, or even just a detailed explanation of the components from manifolds to exhaust tips would be sufficient, but that may be too much to ask for.
