hey whats up, my name is Dawson, im 20 years old and i drive a 1987 Acura Legend. my mom though has a 1999 Grand Prix SE and use to own a 97 Cutlass Supreme SL. we love the car, but it has some issues, like the headlights, which im sure anybody with a 97-03 know is the most nutritiously weak spots of these cars. anyway i have a couple pics of the car, along with some pics of a headlight restoration i did a few months back...

well these last pics will not load because thnx to my friend they are called car s h i t..... if anybody knows a way i can get around this let me know...

anyway more about the car... got the car back in January with 113k miles, its a 99 SE as you can see, has the standard 3.1 and 15in steel wheels w/factory gp/montana caps. so far i have done a couple oil changes, three i think, and new headlight bulbs along with a restoration. i have replaced the radio/speakers. other than that nothing has really been done to it. it was a one owner car belonging to a 70 yo man who bought it new (duh) and had a stroke couple years back, car was basically sitting for four years (only driven about 2500 miles in that time) and had the brakes replaced front and rear w/ new pads and rotors. it has a couple options, rear arm rest/trunk pass, spoiler, center console/arm rest, cd w/7 band eq, map lights, trac and info center, programmable features level 2. other than that, basically stock other than some 97 Dodge Intrepid 6"x9"s and Sony Explode 6" to replace the blown factory speakers. cd i got for $16 from another 99 that was at the junk yard full of bullet holes, there where like 15 in the car including one wedged into the passenger air bag... i wanted to get the leather wheel with the audio controls, but i didnt have the money at the time, but i did find an 01-03 at the junk yard now with the leather/audio controls. which brings me to my first question, will an 01-03 fit a 97-00?? what i want to know is the 01-03 isnt like a dual stage or anything is it??

my pics work for me.... and there is nothing wrong with my car... it may not be super fast, but it has more luxury than the gp, and its faster!! lol trust me if i had the money i would have a new G6 GXP, if i still lived in Ks i would take a G8 GXP but cant to the rwd up here in the winter...


on the legend i have a tilt sunroof, cruise control, pw windows/locks, cd, and a 5spd... only thing that the gp has on me is abs and trac.... and cupholders.. >.< abs was not avalable till 88 on the legends


anyway this is not the acura forum, so back to bussines, one of my friends here has an 01 GTP SE sedan, black with some nice rims and a cai, other than that and the tint and system, i think its stock.. it is tight as hell, if i had the money i would buy that from him... he atcually wants to sell it and buy an itr teg (integra type r)
 


yeah i think im going to have fun here... lol i have always liked the grand prix/cutlass supreme never had one, but i have ha a ga gt and an 86 cutlass ciara coupe...

thats not what they are called, they have that, because thats what they where named when i uploaded them, and because im running 98 currently, my comp wont let me upload any new pics...

Type II six speed GS im assuming?? lol yeah they are nice, but i like my sedan

and just if anybody is currious, the TL was not the replacement for the legend, the RL was, and in other countries is still called the Honda Legend...
