I'm a new member and it won't let me post this in the transmission forum. So I'm sorry for posting this here. I have an 06 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP and I can't use my tap shift. It has a new transmission in it and it did work before my mechanic re-routed my shifter cable. I tried moving it back to where I thought it was and still no luck. Any help or opinions would be appreciated.

I feel this should be taken up with your mechanic that did the work and don't tell him you touched anything. If it worked before he touched it I'd be livid. Im sure you paid good money for the work done so he need to make it right.

Is it throwing any codes?
