• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Yup ive got everything i need to do it on the way.Ive got all new gaskets, water pump, thermostat, grommets, new rad. hoses, coolant and oil.Im also changing tranny fuild also.

Let me guess that brake just started grinding yesterday in her words?

haha basically!...i heard her drive away about a week ago before i started working on it and i was like "why in the world didnt u tell me u needed brakes"...she " i didnt know they were bad i just thought they were dusty from the gravel" me "bahahahahah WOW dear"

Welcome!

I'd brake clean the crap outta that top end if it is still apart. It won't hurt anything...and it'll really clean things up...I doused a towel in it and ran it down each intake/exhaust runner in the head just to try and wipe out the excess junk that would move.

Other than that...there is plenty of good info here if you get stuck.

It is very built up with carbon/oil mixture that idk what to do...ive got alot of the edges where the gaskets go cleaned up but other than that not so much...what should i use?...ive got some engine degreaser and brake clean/parts cleaner...and do i need to get it spotless in the head and intake/exhaust runners??
