• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

yea stock coils are going to be pricey...try rockauto they seem to have decent prices..usually u can get free shipping just gotta google coupons..they wrk.

Finally got the OBD2 bluetooth adapter in. I didn't realize it would take a couple weeks to get here. Hopefully I set it up right. Fired it up this morning while waiting for my train, so I dont have any data while moving. The Torque app was registering the rpm's while in park. Did the Fault code check and got a: P0171 - Powertrain System too lean (Bank1) error.

it its not there, heres one.

If you can't find the vacuum leak something else to check that will set that code on some vehicles. Pull the intake tube off and see if the MAF screen has been removed. If it's not there or damaged sometimes it will set that same code.

Ended up taking my car in for an oil change last week and told the mechanic about the possible vacuum leak. Also there is now an engine chirp or squeak that I thought might have been a belt except after you turn off the car the chirp lets out in a wheeze like its losing pressure. The mechanic thought it might have been a trans thing and brought the car to their "specialist" who tore the trans apart, put it together and found nothing. Now the theory is that its coming from the supercharger from which they found metal shavings in the oil. (supercharger oil not engine oil)

That is probably your radiator fans, mine chirp a little. The wheeze is probably a normal engine off sound, A/c system and whatnot.

I would pop your snout off and do the coupler now and give it an inspection.

As for what it has for mods, looks like stock struts, SSC lowering springs. Exhaust looks to be SLP catback. Definitely smaller pulley, OEM coils go for cheap (don't know what that guy was on about), $20/piece used.

Thanks DaveVQ.

I'll pop this link and this link here for future reference. The chirp might be the fan, but I'm pretty that the chirp lets out in the wheeze as you shut the car off. Maybe I'll try to post a sound clip or video when I get a chance.
