New Hyundai

0.27 drag co-efficient, thats pretty dang low for a passenger car. Some of the exotic sports cars are in the 0.21 range. And its using fiber optics in the electrical system. Quite frankly, I think this part is overdue.

Knock 'em all you want but they have come a really long way. I remember growing up that there was another company that was knocked around in a similar fashion for a long time and they just kept plugging away. Toyota.

I think it is actually a nice looking car. I too agree they have come a long way from when they first started as a company. And this car just goes to show that they are building them better and better.

Don't get me wrong I still like my GP, and will always drive my GP until she won't go anymore. But I really like all the thought they put into the car.

damn i would hate to get smoked by a kia :/ and i completly agree with you scotty. i went and checked out the kia manufacturing plant out here in ga. damn they are anal about there quality and build. i used to work at the honda manufacture plant and they put out some good quality but not nearly as anal about things. i could only image how good kia's products were going to come out. there deff well sifisticated and dont play around.

Well I spent several years in South Korea and while there, the Hyundais then were not much to look at but many even then they seemed to go forever.

My neighbor just bought, less than a year ago, a Hyundai Sonata I believe it is and while I would not give up my GP for one, it is a nicely build vehicle. I maintain it for her and to me it just seems like an all around well thought out car. Its impressive for what it is. A 10yr/100k warranty to boot.

that wasnt a fair race with the bmw, the beamer was dogging the race at the line!
It is my opnion that there was a lot of bow-wowing going on there.
Also I wouldnt even concider paying 40G for a hyundai, just how I feel about them.

i could agree on the pricetag but if you've seen the commercial, the car sounds pretty nasty....

A lot of people like to bash Hyundai but don't have any solid facts to stand on. They're solid cars.

I like the Genesis. They're doing things other manufacturers either can't or won't and for cheaper.

man i just saw the 180 degree cornering and 0-70 braking on yahoo homepage...out performs a benz and a bmw 0-70 stopped 10 feet quicker...nastyyyy on 180 corner too

I think it does look pretty impressive, more so for the sole fact that it is a hyundai. They have come a long way in a short time, IMO. The sonata, as granny as it is, is a quick little car...

I wouldn't personally want to own a sonata, but I can appreciate it.

The Genesis is the import's ( Korea's) answer to the more higher end european cars. As for the Sonata, my mother-in-law bought one a few months ago. Mind you it was the 4cyl model but the quality of the car from the interior to exterior was suprising. I personaly wont buy one, but it suits her well.

I am impressed with it. Thay have come a long way. Cabin is even well designed. I think the higher end luxury cars have got some compitition with this one.

I'm thoroughly impressed by this car. I've been following it since I first heard the specs, and now that I've driven one, It's become one of my favorite cars produced. I'd take it over a Lexus, Mercedes or BMW any day. The ride is smooth, it's fit and finish are impeccable, it feels like it's worth twice what it says on the sticker, and it out-performs almost every other luxury car out there in handling, acceleration, and braking.
Don't knock it 'til you drive it!
