New Hood Insulation

I've been thinking about putting some new hood insulation to help with engine noise and heat and was wondering if anyone else had done it. I was planning on using something aftermarket like dynamat or a cheaper knockoff.
 


Dynamat and all related things do NOT block sound. They keep the panel from vibrating, but they do not act as a barrier to actually block noise.

You will need mass loaded vinyl, or MLV, to actually block sound.

Either way, you'll be hard pressed to notice a difference.
