My name is garret I just bought a used 04 Grand Prix gtp. It has the 3.8L v6 supercharged with MSD wires and coil pacts. My concern is when the car is off after driving for a bit I hear a ting or ping coming from the center of the car my guess Is its the exhaust not sure if it's the catalytic converter or if that's even the right part of the exhaust area it's coming from. It usually last like 10 minutes or so.
 


That sounds like the exhaust cooling off to me. Totally normal assuming you have no other issues. Those MSD coil packs would be my concern. If you start getting misfires then I'd suspect those coils. The stock coils are more than good enough even for modded GP's.
