hi there everyone,

im new here and have NEVER owned a GP but have 2 GA's and looking at selling them to get me a GP :)

but before i buy one i wanted to learn about them! So basically i want to know like what are basic things o know about them like maintence, problems they have, the good and bad about them, so on and so forth.

i am looking at getting either a GTP or GXP, not to sure yet. So was hoping people on here could help me out and lead me in the right direction to getting my first GP?!?!

get one that hasnt been modded or molested And you should be fine
LIM gaskets are a weak area and if it has higher miles probably the coupler in the blower would need to be replaced
Check for rust in the rocker panels and under the car and so on then basic stuff check all fluids and such
If the fluids are all nasty the person probably didnt maintane the car very well and thats a redflag
 
thanks for the heads up with the coupler in the blower and the LIM gaskets! And I am for sure not getting one that has been modded or anything!! That is a big NO for me for two reasons...I love doing all my own work and some people well you can't trust their work!

Now since that is outta the way which do people prefer the GXP or GTP when it comes to squeezing more power out of the engines, durablitity, handling, etc, etc.
 
What I am wondering is if you should mod at 16 with two GA's already and how are you going to get the money for a gxp and pay insurance and mods (which there is barely any) unless your parents are going to pay for it all. Then by all means go ahead lol
 
ok thats what it sounded lkike from what I've read about the two!
and im selling my two GAs cause i want something new and different, so there is the down payment for the car..and as for the insurance i split it with my parents 50/50 since i decided to go with college before anything they said they would split it with me and while im in college i will be getting paid at least 500 a month :P and dont have to worry about any expenses while in college!! scholarships are legit!
 


hey then congrats!!!!!! i'm 38 with 2 teenagers and i have 1 core class(online) this semesster. starts this wednesday. jan 8th? already got my certificate, so this class will completer my degree(associates) biomedical engineering. good luck to u and rock it man,
