Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Great community, Have been watching this board for a while now and decided to join.

I have been chasing high ltft's for a few weeks now. They went high suddenly and I could not find anything with a can of carb cleaner or propane. I finally smoked the intake tonight and found a few small leaks I fixed all but one and the ltft came down alot but at idle I am still getting about +10%. The only place smoke was coming from after the fix was from between the bbv rod and the sc case. This is the rod that goes into the sc from the bbv lever. I have never heard of a leak from here before but I am pretty sure this is the only place left that is leaking.
So my question's are...
Can this be fixed with a rebuild or some other way, or should I get another used gen3 with plans of IC in the future?
Or would it be worth getting a used gen5 without IC?
Will I be able to get the same results of a gen5 with an IC gen3?

Thanks for any advice

Buy a BBV off here, I'm sure someone has one for sale.

Then do whatever you want to.

I'd advise you to read on IC's and Gen 5's if you plan on doing them.

Certains steps need to be taken inorder to run each. And you'll need to know pulley size differences (how they affect the car) with each blower.

Never heard of a leak here but the bushings could be worn. I don't think they rebuild it. Cheaper to go used.

The boost control actuator and it's rod to turn the butterfly in the SC open/closed can't be rebuilt and I'm sure if it's only a little bit that you have a very normal charger. I've taken these apart before to find nothing in there but the rod and butterfly.

+10 at your elevation hmmm normal or not?

The reason I ask is because I monitor my fuel trims often and this came out of nowhere one day. They were consistently low at idle, like around 0 give or take 3. The trims still drop above idle which leads me to believe there is a vacuum leak. When spraying the connecting rod with carb cleaner stft goes negative.
