i do have a modified gtp motor in my camaro.

Hello, my name is Matt. New to the site, but not to 3800's. well, L36 3800 motors. Im new to the L67 and learning what i can everyday. hoping to learn a bit of the L67's here.

I own a 2002 camaro. The motor..L67 w/ a modified M90 routing the intake around to the passenger side so it fits. This is all from a member here who sold his car to me..the car formerly known as his project, C67.
I am the new owner of it, and been slowly modifying it seeing what i could get out of it. the car originally was a black 96 camaro. my 02 camaro was a better candidate for the motor, and therefore pulling out of the black car and swapping to see how far i can take an M90 camaro. Im looking to get the M90 ported right now and getting everything put together to get the motor swapped to the 02 within the next couple weeks.

Once i took possession of the black car, i swapped in a spec stage 3 clutch, aluminum flywheel, and longtube headers, ran a best of 13.32@ 102 shortshifting. (being considerate of the factory T5 trans). the new setup is the same clutch and flywheel, mated to a built Gforce T5, lingefelter driveshaft, 4.10 gears and eaton posi. Looking to put a stage 2 intercooler of some kind when i begin reassembly and ultimate goal is to run an 11.xx second timeslip.

Sorry for the big post, hope to become a regular over here if yall let me and learn some more about the L67's. Thanks!

this is the only pic i have. this is when the motor is in the 96. This is how it was when i picked up.

i will definately be posting more pics of the engine in the 02. i need to finish getting the blower ported

nothing really needs to be modified. the hardest part is having to make a custom intake inlet considering it has to make pretty much a sharp 180* bend in order to not run the intake into the firewall. a friend of mine was going to put a setup like this together and then ditched the idea after he got an ls1 (and then crashed it immediately after buying it).

the install into the black car, im guessing it was a small pain. the only modification was to cut into the inlet of the blower and route around. he used aluminum sheet metal and turned it around.

I did not install this setup how it is in the picture. This was done by a member here Merlin. i bought the car from him.

more the cowl is the issue. how the motor sat in the 96, the fuel rail was MAYBE a 1/4 inch from the cowl. the motor being set 2/3 back in the engine bay kinda sucks too. both cars had the stock hood on them with no modification.

here is when it was in the 96, stock everything on exterior accept for weld prostars on rear and greg weld wheels infront.
care made 288 hp 317 tq, made one pull...car was running 13.7-14.3 WOT so we didnt do anything more. afraid of blowing up

Interesting to see it. You could probably put fuel logs like PRJ's to good use. You mention having space issues to cowl and wanting to intercool. Any ideas on what it would take?
