• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Well about a week ago I got my first grand prix I've done already done alot of maintenance to it I am slowly starting to modify it its a 2002 gt

One word of advise, never build a 3800.

Install a aftermarket cam sure, but doing anything bottom end related is a complete waste of time and machine shop money. They can handle 500-600hp atleast with the right tune. You remove 1 main cap or 1 rod/piston, it's machine shop bound.

I didn't mean pistons I meant cam springs injectors ported and polished heads headers just supporting mods for turbo nitrous or supercharger

Hard to say, I guess it depends on how deep your pockets are and tuning ability on this stuff.

Also the transmission is your weakest link, it's not "new" anymore. So it's always on borrowed time and adding mods isn't making things better. True that some can handle a decent 3.4 setup but going past that into the 260-300whp range you are playing with fire on a stock unit.

A built transmission to handle 300+whp or any turbo car will be atleast 2500-3500 for a nice one with good parts.

supporting mod for turbo would be twin plogs 60# injectors, tune, and transmission and having fun playing in sub 12's

Ive got the time and money to do it especially because ill be getting a military bonus here soon I mean itll probably take some time I'm not saying I could have it done tomorrow im getting a new drivers door and hood first but haven't really looked into a turbo is there a kit or would I have to custom fab it
