• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

New guy from eastern PA. 2004 GTP. Just picked it up a week ago, 166K miles. Has a slight misfire under load, but I'll be checking and replacing spark plugs, wires, coils or ICM as needed. I have a feeling the PO put crappy plugs in it and didn't gap them properly. Once it's running as it should, I'll probably start some mods in the spring if I'm not spending all my time getting one of my other projects on the road.

previous owner might have run lower octane fuel. run a couple tanks of premium through it and see if it goes away.

Change your spark plugs and ignition wires first to see if that helps with the slight misfire under load before changing your coils.

I’m halfway through my second tank of premium and it’s not getting any better. And I let it get pretty empty before refills just for that purpose. I took the metal heat shielding off the spark plug boots, still the same. Wires are brand new OEM replacements, plugs are brand new AC Delcos. I’ll pull a few later to see if they’re properly gapped. I got an ICM and coils coming on Tuesday. We’ll see if that does it.

what plugs does it have? delco is a broad term. if they are platinum it could the cause of it all. these engine run on iridium plugs, or copper core plugs work best and are dirt cheap at 20 or less for a set of al 104's.

Good point, I honestly don’t know until I pull one out to look at the PN. I have a feeling I’m gonna be buying a set of 104’s anyway just because of the modifications I have planned.

It was the coils. 2 originals reading just out of spec and one aftermarket reading perfect. Put used original ones on from a low mile 2005 Monte SS sc and the car runs great now.

No cracks that I could see. But I figured that’s what it was because it was acting just like my old T Type breaking up under boost.
