Hello fellow GP folks. I'm new to the Forum.
I had a 2004 GP GT2 that I drove to 276,000 miles. Loved that car. It went to it's final resting place this summer and I am now the owner of a white 2008 GXP with 76,000 miles.

I have owned this GXP now for a day and have some first impressions.

Gobs of power compared to the 3800.
Ride is noticeably stiffer.
Never had a HUD before and I like it.
Lots of little improvements from 2004 to 2008.
Where's the spare tire?

Bill

No spare tire on a GXP because they run 18X8 front and 18X7 rears for rim size with different offsets. Tire sizes are also way different.

If the GXP is up to snuff tune up wise, you are ahead of the game already. Biggest things with the GXP is the transmission temps, if you are seeing 200+, it's time for a cooler and a cooler is almost a must with a GXP to keep the transmission happy.

there is no spare the factory gave us a can of tire sealant and a air pump when I purchased my GXP I was surprised to find this out oil consumption might be a problem its got to do with the dod you have to change the pan gasket I did mine it was a BIG job and the car still goes through oil only have 82000 kilometers or about 50000 miles so far good luck regards Gumba
