• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Howdy folks, I just wanted to pop in and give my introduction. I picked up my first Pontiac 2 days ago and I thought what a great place to learn about my car. What it can and should not do:th_biggrin2: It is a 2001 Grand Prix special edition supercharged 2 door.( my first supercharged car as well ) I want to make it a little more presentable before I post some pics, sorry Its a little dirty right now. Its bone stock as far as I can tell with the exception of aftermarket headlights and tail lights. I had to put some foam weather striping on the bottom of the head lights to keep them from shaking when driving. They might be 2nd hand store bought. Im on the fence whether to go back to stock or better quality aftermarket. Ive changed the oil and filter, air filter and supercharger oil and plan to put the aoutolite 606's in this weekend. Ive read these are great plugs for a stock motor. I have no immediate plans for mods at this time but I would like to hear the supercharger sing to me. I understand I can get this with a CAI or the mod where you cut slots into the stock air box? I'll read further into this before I do it of course.I am excited to be part of this community and look forward to chat with you all, maybe even hit an event or two. I live in Killeen Texas by the way. So thank you for having me and Ill talk to yall soon.

howdy partner ...
if i might make a suggestion , if you don't have any modding plans , i'd install the stock iridium plugs the car came with. unless of course you don't mind changing plugs every 10-15 k ... the iridiums are good for around 100k and will likely outlast the car depending on what your mileage is. if you wanna hear the supercharger , rip the stock airbox out and slap on a 9 inch spectre cone filter.

here is a how to on a simple / cheap , air induction system ... don't waste hundreds of dollars on that crap.

Welcome, looks like we are doing the same thing for the most part on our cars!
