Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hey all.

I picked up a 2001 Grand Prix GT back in January to replace my 1990 Oldsmobile 88. I've had experience with the 3800 and knew the reputation so figured it was a good buy. 92000 miles on it when I bought it from a dealer with quite a few new parts (front sway bar, new front passenger wheel bearing, new brakes all around, etc), and I wanted to get away from trying to fix random issues that I got accustomed to with my Oldsmobile, which I have to say was expected with a 22 year old car. Anyways, this has turned out to be the opposite with more random issues (some of them self inflicted), but I have to say when it's functioning properly it is a great car.

Also in the garage is a 1999 Firebird Formula, although that just was involved in an accident last Friday which was caused when an older woman decided to pull into a rummage sale in front of me. Enough of that for now.....

Anyways, the major issue I'm having now is with the transmission, so I started a thread http://www.grandprixforums.net/shif...but-have-some-questions-63032.html#post803740

I've spent a ton of time on LS1tech, THT (The Hull Truth, boating forum), etc., and this seems like another great spot to spend some time and hopefully get/give some good information.

Thanks!

Where abouts in Wisconsin do you live? I'm also from Wisconsin and am always looking to find new people to talk cars with!

I'm not too far from Oshkosh right now finishing up a 15 month co-op at Mercury Marine. This coming fall, I'm moving back to Madison to finish up my last year of school at UW.
