New guy from South Dakota

Joining up from Parker, South Dakota, a small town outside Sioux Falls. Little about me first, born and raised on a 5th generation family farm. I farm with both my dad and grandfather. Studied Diesel Heavy Trucks in Vo-Tech and graduated there May 2013. Bought my own house a mile from the farm and continue working there but recent money shortage has forced me to get a second job at a truck shop in Sioux Falls.

My primary interest has been Cummins powered Dodge pickups. I currently have two, a 2002 Dodge 2500 24v HO Cummins with a 6spd handshaker, has a few goodies and runs out to 362hp and 845ftlbs at the ground, got it in high school and has been my baby since. Recently purchased this spring is a 2001 3500 24v SO Cummins with an auto, bought to pull my camper and now trying to sell both to make my house payments.

Now for what might interest you guys a little more. Most recently acquired is a 1999 Grand Prix GT with the 3800 and 260k with one heck of a rear end collision and a 2001 Grand Prix SE with the 3100 and 180k with a front passenger corner collision. Basically swapped all parts off the GT onto the SE. Plan on keeping this to help me save on fuel costs and its a whole new after market world for me to learn about. I've got my Dodge's more and more figured out so looking for something new to learn.

Hope to learn a lot as far as upgrading repairs and what not.

Heres the two

Heres the finished product, I got it all washed up, waxed, detailed the inside, got new tires switched out so all the rims match now, (the newer style rims) and got it aligned. Need to get more recent pictures, also swapped out the dual exhaust off the GT. Maybe find a good GT rear bumper like the broken on or leave this one, cant decide

Welcome, My brother is going to Parker high school , my dad grew up in the James River Valley on a farm lol. Good ol' farm country.

The rims came on it so I couldn't tell you, still pretty new to GM. I've help my grandpa with his old 68 Impala but that's a different world from these. Haha

If the top end on the gtp is good, then about $180 worth of gaskets, some new fluids and about half a day of your time. You just need the supercharged heads the lower intake the blower, obviously, the harmonic balancer the idler and tensioner for the supercharger belt the coil mount and bracket and a few other odds and ends.

mostly likely, as long as it wasn't a major metal failure the could've scored up some other parts, the car has 260k, with the bad engine and recently rebuilt trans, over all it looks pretty clean, he keeps saying make offer make offer id like it gone. Whats a fair price, running cars this body style sell for 1000-2000 depending on condition some maybe 2500 - 3000 if super clean low mile

I hate to look like a jerk towards the guy but really anything over 500 bucks i cant see worth my time, even if it is worth more then that, it isnt worth that to me.

Also, got my herd together for a group picture in front of the new house, just finished siding it today finally.

With 260k, unless the body is mint I wouldn't offer more than $500, because with that many miles the trans is likely shot as well.

It could make a slight difference, but with that many miles and the engine being totally screwed up it wouldn't affect the price much in my opinion.

Hey there, another guy from South Dakota. I have family in Parker. I'm further south down in McCook Lake.

I used to have a Powerstroke, although I own a gasser now. Didn't have a real need for a diesel, although I'm sure i'll have another again. I'd love a Cummins but I really don't like Dodge lol

Anyway, welcome
