New guy from Ohio

Hi all! Im James. I live in Chesterville Ohio which is about 40 miles due north of Columbus. Anyway not quite a new Grand Prix owner. Had a 94 GTP back in college and now own a 97 GT. It needs some work though. Currently the car isnt running. Was told when the engine was replaced it wasnt lined up properly with the torque converter and trans pump. I can turn it over at the fly wheel by hand. Only thing I really see keeping it from running is a couple broken wires on the bottom of the engine. There was a plug missing as well going to what I guess would be the oil level sensor. Ive tried splicing a new plug in but still have 2 broken black wires yet. Also the color of the other broke wire is green but the one I got with the plug from a 2000 gt is blue. Your can turn the key to on and here a click but neither the fuel pump will come on and the starter wont crank. The starter is good though had it checked out. Not sure when Ill get back to it though because yesterday my wifes Ford Escape spun a bearing. Its our main family vehicle so ive got to get it running again first. Also Im currently looking for a car to drive while the GP is being fixed. So I may end up with a 98 GTP or 98 GS. Only 2 cars around here that fits my budget as well as my poor credit :( Anyways just wanted to say hi!

I hope it's this easy. See these two black wires along with the main battery ground. If they aren't there. I'd add those two.

No ground could do exactly what you are describing.

Thanks for the pics. I get a chance next couple days Ill crawl under mine and take a pic of the broken wires. I dont think they went to the starter but then again Im not sure. I know the plug for the oil level sensor was missing. (not the plug in the oil pan but the one dirrectly above it) Im hoping its something simple cause im in desperate need to get it running

Well havent worked on my GP lately as cold weather sits in. Did get a temorary car for now until this spring when I can buy a gtp. I know its not a GP but did pick up a 94 Lumina Z34. be posting some pics soon.
