• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hello guys. My name is Steve, and im from north eastern iowa. i just got a 97 grand prix gtp 4 door yesterday, and searched for a good legit forum, and this seemed like a great place to visit/sign up. I dont know much about gtp's as my pride and joy is my 99 camaro z28, hence my username. so im coming here in hopes of learning about gtp's and modding this one up, as its only mod right now is a timing tricker, via a box wired into the iat. I look forward to getting to know you guys, and gals.

Yup got any pics of the maro? Maybe I have seen it around.
oh im sure youve seen it around. i used to live in cc for about 6 years

Welcome to the gp world.

This site is good for the how-to's, clubgp.com also has some good stuff, mnclubgp.com is where i tend to hang out as well. One of the perks of a grand prix forum is all the young and intelligent minds seem to gather to tell you firsthand what works on your car and what doesn't, so watch out;)

And whats the happy knob set to on your car? I would get the car scanned soon.

Does it look like that? I would just get the car scanned to make sure your not advancing too much spark and not knocking. Most stock cars have some pretty decent knock untuned.

no my timing tricker doesnt look like that. there is no dial on mine, or a label to describe what it is, or who its made by. what ever it is, they cut the iat wires and spliced this in...ill snag a pic really quick to show you
